If you are a motorcycle rider and can’t stand getting pulled over for tickets all the time, then listen up? If you haven’t heard, there are radar detector reviews made for motorcycles now, how about that. The main reason most guys start riding on motorcycles is for the extreme feeling of freedom they deliver – as if nothing can hold you back! Well, if you have ever been stopped by the police for going to fast on your bike, you know that freedom has it’s limits. The problem is that motorcycles have so much acceleration that even when you aren’t going that fast it can appear that your flying over 100 mph. It’s the acceleration that is so deceiving, but hey – it’s fun to go fast right? Don’t try it without a radar detector onboard though.
If you are like me, you need to get a radar detector for your motorcycle. The best thing about today’s radar detectors are they can be pretty invisible, even while on a motorcycle, with the cordless versions. Since a motorcycle is so loud, you really need to have an earpiece for the alarm to hear it, and this is standard on the newer motorcycle radar detectors. Most of them are totally weather proof, so not worries about pulling over when it starts to rain either.
The bigger consideration when shopping for a Cobra radar detector are the features such as band detection, the distance of that detection, the ability to jam radar signals from the police, and of course how pricey they are. Some can cost pretty much, but the Escort Passport 8500 has all you need and starts at around $300 or so. You can spend a lot more, but this model has one of the best radar and laser detection technology around so why bother? I have had friends that got speeding tickets for nearly that much, and if you avoid several speeding tickets you can pay for this baby pretty fast.
